Had potential but became more and more convoluted.

I found it boring. Not sophisticated like the Bond movies.

Loved Season 1 (five stars) but Season 2 a disappointment. (2 stars). Suggest Stanley stay out of non-Italian restaurants (e’g. Venice episode)and other countries and cities (e.g. London), both of which are VERY off putting to viewers. Spend much more time with traditional home cooks throughout Italy. I know many others who share my recommendations.
