This story line seems very similar to that of the 1988 film Rain man where the lead actors are Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. Ram in the film Sita is autistic like Dustin Hoffman in Rain man, although this was not mentioned in the film. Rain man won several Academy awards. As always seems to be the case with the most Indian films, this fact was not acknowledged. Sita is certainly better than some of the recent Telugu movies.
