This book honestly ticked me off.
It’s quite literally has “a love story” on the cover and when I finished the book I was just kind of sitting there confused because of how little romance was actually in the book. I don’t know if I’m blind and didn’t notice it but I felt like the two main characters relationship progressed too fast and off the page. We almost never saw them genuinely interacting. The fantasy books I read have more romance than this “romance” novel did. It really wasn’t that bad of a book, I didn’t necessarily enjoy it as much as other books but it wasn’t bad. I’d probably give it three stars if it weren’t market as a love story. I don’t like it when a books whole plot revolves around a romance and was excited to see the main characters journey but come on—
This book is the embodiment of “Go girl, give us NOTHING!”
