Trite rehash of the old movie. Lots of feel Good moments that fall flat. Meh. John Hamm. Jennifer Connoly actually Val Kilmer for a hot minute. That’s cool. I love Tom Cruise in the film where he plays the cocky young guy. Except he’s almost 60. And the same character. Would be nice if he ever learned to actually act. I guess that’s not what this part of Hollywood does anymore. Very few original anything and this is yet another example why sequels should be made carefully. Yay Navy Pilots. The real movie stars here. Great flying. Literally just watch the first movie again. You’ve forgotten it if you saw it way back when. It will be just as great a second time. And better than this…
