Preordered the deluxe edition so I got to play yesterday and ended up refunding the game. First time I’ve ever refunded a game on console. I’m a new hockey fan but have played several sports games over the last two decades so I was excited to get into this but there isn’t even a tutorial mode. Practice mode is not tutorial. This game is so unfriendly to new players it’s just not worth it. I’m not trying to hop on YouTube and watch hours of videos just to learn the basic functions of the game. I did some research and came to find the removed tutorial mode back in 2021 and haven’t brought it back since. Very stupid decision. I’m sure I’m not the only new player who’s frustrated by this. You’re not going to grow your player base like this.
