Well after having watched all movies of the Conjuring franchise, one would certainly believe it could have been better. The first half was intriguing when the plot built up, had its spooky moments and just when you had believed it's going to be the darkest chapter in the Conjuring franchise, you see all other creepy creatures but the demon nun cropping up on the screen! The plot felt weak and predictable after the first half. The screen time that Bonnie Aarons (The Nun) had was very less and that's unfair.
Having said that, the movie does have its eerie moments that lovers of the horror genre would enjoy. The last scene is definitely the one to watch out for! However, it's evident that nothing can match up to a James Wan directorial like "The Conjuring" when you are glued to your seat throughout the runtime. You are reminded of that one movie whenever you watch any of his produced prequels! (did he even make a sequel on this franchise?) Wish he had worn the director's hat for this too!
