I couldn’t put this book down. I loved following the protagonists journey, navigating and managing her way through her later years with the grief, hurdles and surprises, of which there were many, of family, different cultures and relationships, new and old, that life can present. Her depth of knowledge and workings of the land - seasons and botanicals, of music and literature, is beautifully woven throughout her story - her past, present and future. I found her story reassuring and comforting - no matter what is thrown at us, we can breathe, sit with it, and decide the next move. A joy to read and reread.
