If your mathematical education is as sadly lacking as many unfortunates, buy this book. Stretch your abilities and apply yourself. I love the "dated" tone and language of the original. Don't buy an edition with Martin Gardner's name attached, it is a truly horrible bastardised american version. I really struggled with calculus at school but this very old book actually made sense to me.
