Godsmack has done it again. This time, this feels climatic and so emotionally raw. From the opener “You and I”, which is so groovy and blistering, all the way mid through “Let’s Go”, which has a Black Sabbath-esque vibe, up until “Lightning Up the Sky” which sums up the whole album in retrospect. There’s a powerful track called “Truth” which in my opinion is their “Dream On by Aerosmith” ballad. Not one song disappoints. “Surrender” is the perfect single as well as “Soul on Fire” which is sure to rock the pit, then you have “What About Me” which has that old school tribal beat that Godsmack has perfected over the years. “Best of Times” is a perfect thank you to the fans. Overall, this album is hands down one of their best records they have put out. A must buy for sure.
