Very good film, which shows Adam Sandler can play more serious roles and allows him to be an actor. All round well acted with a good story and characters with arcs and well rounded character. Little cliche and formulaic but a good watch overall. Specially as it had a profound lack of "moral preaching" that Hollywood seems to be intent on forcing into their films.

Would be 3 and a half stars not 4 but had no option. A good addition and adaptation of the Mortal Kombat franchise. Characters were portrayed well and true enough to how they are in the video games and had different fighting styles which was a nice touch, although hopefully they can be fleshed out more in future instalments. Some of the flips were a little silly. Would like to see Outworld explored and the backstory of how Mortal Kombat came to be in future instalments fleshed out more. Overall a decent first instalment of a reboot.

Really good show hope it continues on the same path season 1 did going forward
