The book is a very good read. Good suspense and plot. However I need a clarification. The original manuscript of the Fatal Folio was stolen. In it, Selwyn Scott wrote about the cursed book “ the ramblings of a monk” The novel also states that “the ramblings of a monk” is informally called “ The Fatal Folio” . At the end of the novel the Fatal Folio was burned in a bon fire. So was the original manuscript of the Fatal Folio that was burned or was it “the ramblings of a monk” ? Why create a confusion, I was beginning to think that the curse of death would also fall upon those reading the Fatal Folio.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book. A thriller that keeps you glued to the story line as inspector Lu goes about trying to catch the murderous organs snatcher, what makes the novel more interesting are snippets about Chinese culture , superstitions. workings of a communist society and the swear words! I live among the Chinese( not the communists) and was pleasantly surprised when I read them. I was looking forward to more of it as I turned the pages.
