Do not fall for the trap that the either oblivious or paid off reviewers tell you here many of the actresses have admitted in interviews ABOUT THE MOVIE that they have not even looked at a Spiderman comic, let alone one that includes madam web in really any capacity, the cast was filled with AAA+ talent that was willfully ill prepared for their roles. So much so it’s almost impressive that there was this level of inability to perform. Scenes from the trailer (talking specifically about the other cast also appearing in suits, not just madam web appearing as a super hero) are simply not present in the movie. Leaving a confused and rather angry after taste in the viewer’s mouth if you had hoped the movie would even be CLOSE to the trailer that seemed to somehow be a better watch than the movie itself. Thats right. You are objectively better off having seen ONLY THE TRAILER to this movie than the movie itself. If there was an option to give this movie no stars. I would. The only reason someone would give them any sort of congratulation, it would need to be for surely lying to their talent about the prospects for this movie’s success. This will forever be a stain on many of the actresses and actor’s (let’s just hope the cereal box villain never acts again in a professional setting) careers. To say that this movie should be pulled from theaters and given as a free inclusion to streaming services is an understatement. Please do not watch this movie. I am saying it from a place of deep empathy and concern for your time that, after seeing this laughable joke of a film, you will wish you had back. Just sad
(Also, Sony, calling this movie not related to the wider timeline when it is CLEAR you had planned a sequel for this movie is just plain pathetic.)
