I was a teenager when Ronald Reagan became President. He was able to lift the country out of the doldrums of the Carter Presidency. The movie briefly showed the duck-and-cover drills that happened in schools during the height of the cold war. I remember having those drills when I was in 1st grade. Dennis Quaid’s voice sounded very much like Ronald Reagan’s voice. Quaid mastered Reagan’s mannerisms perfectly. I thought all the actors in the movie did excellent work portraying the various individuals from that time in history. The actor who played the part of Gorbachev was very good.
