Not even a shadow of the book. After seeing the movie I have gone through the book again and again to re-establish my childhood memories, and wipe out the the disgusting memory of this horrible film. O director please listen don't do this again. After a wonderful film like meghe dhaka tara this is not expected. I think this not your genre.
Shankar is lad from poor family wiith thin hard built stature not a golgappa as depicted here.

It is a wonderful serial, making us nostalgic about our old times. You may wonder why I am posting this so many days after the end of the serial. Since I have retired from service, I can now see this serial in its entirety at zee5.
Sodu and Shankar reminds me of Balika Bodhu and Sriman Pritthiraj films.

Krisna is not punishing the evil. What about police enquiry regarding shyma's kidnappers and hotel incident at north bengal. Atleast some news which will frighten the evil is expected.
