It is a great kid's book, using rhyme and my 3 yr old loves it. Some people are getting their knickers in a twist about 'making fun of disability' because the donkey is winky and wonky. This is not true - disabled people have senses of humour too and can be cranky and cheeky and funny and everything in between. I have a wonky leg - yes I call it my wonky leg and by trying to politicise this, we are forgetting that children need to be tought tolerance and acceptance and compassion and kindness from their parents, not through children's literature...
