At first, I wasn't so sure about this game myself. I'd looked into reviews, looked at the gameplay, read descriptions and other things, but I couldn't find much meaningful information on the game. So, when I bought it, I felt as if I were blindly stumbling forward through the dark. I had literally no idea whether I would enjoy it. As many other people have said, these games deviate slightly from the typical structure of a Pokemon game. Legendary Pokemon are slightly different and some pokemon are easier to catch. The introduction is a bit slow and could be composed better, but once it's moving, it is an enjoyable game. Obviously, Gamefreak and Nintendo took a leap of faith introducing the franchise to this style of game, and as a result, the graphics are a little cheesy, but everything has its drawbacks. The game has some exclusive features from other games, and there are many new species of Pokemon to catch. Overall, Nintendo did a great job with this game. It has new features, events and mechanics and in my opinion, has just the right mix of traditional Pokemon and new Pokemon. This game is worth the price and I recommend it to anyone who is either trying the game for the first time, looking for something new or just wants another Pokemon game.
