Obi-Wan goes on the lam and spends 10 years in hiding, all the time watching Luke growing up on his uncle's farm. The writing in the first two episodes is a bit shaky. The idea that Obi-wan has connections with Senator Organa but fails to know that Vader is still alive after their last battle is just lazy writing and makes no sense. Obi-Wan's interactions with Leia are enjoyable. I hope the writing gets better in the ensuing episodes.
Episode 3 was terrible. Why have Obi-wan and Vader fight in this episode? Really, the series should have ended right here with an Obi-Wan barbeque. I really did not think the writing could get worse than the first 2 episodes, but it did. This whole episode seems disjointed and out of place. It will be hard for the story to overcome this episode.
Episode 4 held my attention better, as Tela emerges as the real hero of the series. However, we have the prototypical infiltration into an Imperial Base. I'm starting to predict the schemes and scenes in these Star Wars products. Am I the only person to see this? Where is the originality? Show me something new!
Episode 5 is fantastic. Finally, a flashback recalled by both Vader and Obi-Wan. It is interesting to see Vader playing on the past to guide his actions in the present. Roll this past engagement up in the chaos of 3rd sister's treachery and Tela's sacrifice, and we finally have an episode that I had to watch 3 times. If only the whole series were written so well, the plot might have been able to overcome the fiasco of episode 3. Here's to hoping that episode 6 can save the second half of the series,
