I've watched this film 3 times. My small town theater of 140 seats sold out 3 days in a row. Never do I recall a movie eliciting more emotion in both directions. The audience was cracking up laughing 1 minute and crying the next. The direction was masterfully balanced between the two. The cast was fantastic. Everyone can relate to this movie because we all will become old and at some point be old and very alone too. The details in this film were many. Otto's clothes and wedding ring were oversized because he wasn't eating. 2 cups, 2 saucers. As a big aside, after 3 watches, I also noticed some tie-ins (wether intentional or not) to other Tom Hanks films including the Burbs, Castaway and Forest Gump. This movie will make you feel!
