Such an enjoyable ride from start to series end. Beautifully scripted, gorgeous cinematography, and more than ably acted by the key characters that I can totally forgive the odd script defect or stereotypical character — it’s like life, nothing is perfect. But Walt Longmire takes the time to wipe his cowboy boots on every porch door mat he encounters, his thoughtful pace and stage craft is supreme and believable. It’s worth seeing if you like it, why not give it a try.

Binged watched series 1-3 on Netflix, bonus no adverts. Why? Because it’s a beautifully crafted series, very well scripted, all characters have depth, it’s meticulously well researched, fantastically well acted, and I always wanted more. The two key characters are very believable, Sunny, for my money, is best actor. Their team is brilliant. Not often we get seriously good scripts from one writer, I’m now ploddingly watching series 4, weekly, on ITV, with blessed adverts..... but I can’t wait.

Better than Morse. Only just stumbled upon this series and have pretty much binged watched seasons 1 to 7 like a book I couldn’t put down. Loved pretty much everything about it; the various nods to 60s history in the intertwining storylines, period correct costumes, cars, building interiors, the wonderful key characters, particularly Endeavour Morse and, above all, top notch script writing, acting and direction. ITV needs to keep the quality and pace, and deliver season 8 and beyond....soon. I’ll be waiting 😉

What can I say... so much depth! Immerse yourself in a class storyline and script straddling both seasons. Gritty, fascinating, definitely difficult to watch at times, tragic but with humour and humility.....and hope. Believable characters, every one, brilliantly acted, nothing lazy or self important, and the cinematography is awesome. Can’t wait for the next life instalment of this amazing woman called Catherine.

My favourite Jane Austen book by far, and she wrote many of my favourites. This is the best screen version, script, cinematography, with tremendous acting from practically every member of the cast, particularly the two at risk of falling under the many wheels of persuasion once again, or so we think..... The book is so fine of detail, the story speaks to all our hearts as we recognise and empathise. I feel emotional at every read and watch, but I’ll do it all again! Perfection.

One of those rare films that is just faultless. A must watch if you are unsure! Fabulously engaging script and beautiful cinematography. Superb acting where everyone refreshingly underplayed their characters, not a hint of over the top British eccentric grandees that other casting directors may have thought essential for this uniquely British WW2 story. My only regret was the lack of true Guernsey scenery which would have added that final twist of stardust. Oh, did I say, I LOVED it!
