I first watched this show when it first started. And it came in a time of my life when things weren't so hot. My mom and dad were fighting a lot and my siblings and I really only had each other's backs. When my sister and I saw this first episode of this together we were stoked. We bonded over it, we would wait for another episode to drop just to see what new adventures Finn and Jake would go on and see what trouble they'd get into. It helped me stay happy and upbeat and taught me to stay a child at heart, to constantly see the good in people, and always be a good person. By the time I'd turned 10 or 11, we weren't able to watch the show, no TV for a while, and I didn't watch it, eventually it faded from my memory. Just like Regular Show, and a few other shows. And when I'd heard about how these shows had ended, and that I wasn't there the whole way to see things all the way through it hurt me. But to just listen to the finale song even now. It brings me back to a time when things were a lot better for a lot of people. I now also realize these shows were meant to teach lessons, not every episode but with one huge climax, for Regular Show it was, hey you'll eventually grow up, but make it count. For Adventure Time it was, no matter what always be kind, respectful, and try to help as many people as possible, while trying to remain young at heart. Thank you to the people at Cartoon Network who made this show, it was truly a masterpiece.
