I can easily add this this to one of the best books I have read. Owen describes the features of nature with intricate detail that transports a person to the spot. After one reads this book, they would feel as if they have lived in the marsh in North Carolina. If there was a book that you can clearly see with your mind's eye, this is IT.
If you are a nature lover and have watched birds, bugs, insects , grass and plants so close that you knew every vein, this is book would take you back to those times you did.
The characters are amazingly moulded and brought to life with relatable personalities. The contrast of human character is cleverly woven through Chase and Tate. Also, social justice issues of racism are described in a way that opens up a window for the reader to analyse it for themselves.
Beautiful, capturing and cleverly written.
