What a weekend The Joker. A movie so good, that I don't think I could watch again. Everything about this movie is complete. Everybody involved deserves an award. I a so lucky to be able to witness such a great piece of cinema. I also have to mention Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds new album "Ghosteen". Released on the 4th of October, it is also a master piece that would be hard to listen to more than once. "The Joker" and "Ghosteen" are two reasons why 2019 will be remembered as the year of outstanding art. One presented to the public as a movie, the other as a record.

My review on this excellent movie is late and not as well worded as previous reviews, but my brain pointed out to me how this story is almost an autobiography of the two main actors, Sean Penn and Mel Gibson, told through this true story of sabotage, sadness, regret, love, and controlled public condemnation, of the two creators of the Oxford dictionary. This movie is not a genre I would normally pick when choosing something to watch, however, every facet of "The Professor, and the Madman", had me transfixed from beginning, to end. Sean and Mel will never get the accolades they deserve any more, but the actors and artists who support them in creating works like this, will be rewarded with a masterful movie they can be proud of. A great honest movie, that everyone should watch.
