Read this book years ago when first published!! Never forgot how the Italians who immigrated fought so hard for a place in America. Married a Sicilian, 1st generation born, and believe me the prejudice these people faced was not easy. My own sons faced racial comments as late as 1996 from what I consider ignorant people!! A great read!!
