From the previews I assumed the movie was going to be about a possessed lion, considering the lion in question seemed to have advanced capabilities and strength. It ended up being a regular lion who just so happened to be able to heal quickly, withstand fire and explosions, and apparently teleport. It really made no sense. Close to the end of the movie the main characters managed to get away in a separate truck and even though they drove a presumably far distance from the lion (who had just been through a car fire and was limping after falling off a cliff) the lion magically appeared on the front door step of the abandoned school building they were hiding in. It was just all around lazy writing and the more the lion shows up on screen the more you’re gonna wanna roll your eyes.
