It’s a good story, quite suspenseful, but I’m afraid I found it very clichéd, for example: a rough, tough, maverick American with scant regard for rules; a beautiful British cop (how many times was she described as such, and her perfume!); father of the latest victim an East End boy-turned-rich businessman who calls her “his little girl”; and the constant use of the phrase “unsub” really grated throughout. As I say, the story is actually pretty good, some nice gory description, and some of the thought processes of the American consultant are interesting, but I’m not sure I’d read more of the series, sorry.
