i usually don't leave reviews, but this season feels so much different than the old steven universe, and in a bad way. it removed almost all the things that i loved about this show. the ONLY characters that stayed the same which is pearl and garnet and amethyst and greg. and here is the things that changed, one of them is connie which i loved how they made her have more personality again but i hate that she didn't get way more screentime. but characters like SPINEL. she literally is a whole new character in steven universe future LITERALLY THE CHARACTER THAT ALL PEOPLE ADORED IN THE MOVIE. now let's talk about steven. i get it, he's growing up and all but how can he become this different in these 2 years. i am aware that trauma doesn't set in immediately but it should have been more noticeable as time passed but in this situation it just happened instantly. and he overall feels like a completely different character. he got rid of almost all the traits that made him a good character and loveable. the original steven universe was so good that i never expected it to have such a terrible finale or season, it seriously is a big disappointment !!! SPOILERS !!! the last fight we ever had was jasper and aquamarine which aren't even major characters. and even then we don't see steven feel grief over what he did to jasper but nah. she literally came back in 2 minutes after being shattered. and i feel like we should have gotten an actual finale that doesn't feel so off from what our beloved characters would do. but like what greg said "if every porkchop was perfect, we wouldn't have hotdogs" but in this situation it wasn't even close to decent i wish this show had a proper finale it deserved. that's all i have to say about this
