I wanted to like this movie, it is horrendous. Sketchy storyline, pointlessly bad script (why make Elba’s character American?) and absolutely shameful decision making as part of the story. No bad spoilers but why oh why, if you’re running from a man-eating lion, when you find shelter in a poachers hideout full of dead animals would you open all doors and windows because it smells a bit, bet you can’t guess what comes in!? This is akin to characters in Jaws jumping in the sea for safety. Lots of this type of thing throughout the film, it could’ve been decent, it is however, not. Put on a documentary about big cats instead.
