I have watched the trilogy countless times. Every time I watch I come away with a slightly different angle. What Resurrections does is give us more to contemplate about the first 3 and adds a whole new set of infinite possibilities in the over all story arch. I like the fact that this one does not have to be watched in sequence like so many other sequels to get the point. Most of all, the love story continues. Reading the mixed reviews is disappointing. I feel like this is a symptom of a generation that suffers from attention deficit disorder to be honest. The Matrix has always been a subtle story that opens up from a dark place into the light in slow methodical, almost ritualistic experience. If you have the patience and attentiveness to absorb the dialogue and plot, you will certainly appreciate how Resurrections has enriched the series and will have an up to date characterization that makes the original Matrix even more prophetic.
