10/10 show! The acting, plot, and flow of this series is top notch. I highly recommend!!

The tornado scene (only one) was AMAZING! 10/10. So realistic and I loved the way they had this ominous feel as it made its way there. It was- real life. Most tornadoes especially the bad ones don’t just pop up, there is a set up of bad weather and conditions. Anyways the movie did a phenomenal job of capturing the build up and then actual tornado scene and damage. The rest of the movie I hated. The amazing tornado scene for me isn’t enough to make me want to watch this, if I could go back I wouldn’t have. The characters and acting is set up well but I didn’t like a single character in this movie except the little girl. This is not family friendly at all. There was a ton of political nonsense, language, inappropriate scenes, and just bad behavior. There isn’t a lesson to be learned in this movie except not to be like any of the people in it. I would say go to YouTube and look up the tornado scene in the movie, watch that, and then never watch the actual movie. It isn’t worth it.

I have to give the movie credit- the actual tornado scenes were ok they weren’t the worst. There was some cgi that in my opinion was ridiculous but then other moments it was decent. I also want to point out (as someone who likes clean, family- friendly movies) that this movie does achieve that. It’s very clean and not very graphic. I appreciate that. That is where my kindness for this movie has to end. The movie opens with the title and it’s spelled wrong. Christams Twister. I really am wondering if it’s supposed to be a joke movie, like a prank or something. Maybe it was intentionally made so bad that it’s funny. That’s the only way to possibly explain this. I honestly laughed at parts that were so bad that I couldn’t believe it. The characters and plot was all really bad (again in my opinion). It felt really rushed, there wasn’t really any setting up the plot or giving background on the characters. It was “random family hit by tornado and then cut over to actual starring family as they woke up and go off to work, and then like one minute after he gets to work there’s bad weather on the radar and boom bad stuff starts happening.” It just didn’t feel like it flowed well at all it skipped around, I was confused a lot. The only hint of a background we get is apparently the main guy screwed up his forecast some years back in Chicago. And you have to have your ears and eyes glued to pick up on that because it’s mentioned here and there in fragments. I felt like a lot of the characters reactions to what was going on was unrealistic. It felt cheesy. Maybe I was supposed to go into this movie with a different mindset for it to impress me but I unfortunately watched it with high hopes and was greatly disappointed. I guess if you’re bored you could give this a watch other than that, I wouldn’t recommend.
