You know I think because the terrible “gangster rap” marketing of this show I was expecting just another gladiator crap show. Though I don’t see it winning any Emmy’s it definitely isn’t terrible. By the final episode I found myself rooting for several different characters along with the demise of others. I do agree the cgi was hit or miss but for a regular series I definitely think it’s worth a watch. I’m hopeful that someday tv makers will realize their is a demographic for a smart Roman political drama though.
