Constantly trying to find meaning in life and balancing between loss and revenge. It's not the story I wanted, but it doesn't deserve the wrap it's getting. The Last of Us 2 is an immersive, visceral, and dark game that pushes the player and the characters, and if you can handle heartbreak, it's very much worth it.

A beautiful atmosphere, complimented by solid performances by the entire cast, creates a worthwhile watch to cap off the Summer. As an avid lover of the horror genre and a fan of Bram Stoker's original work, the idea of brave men and women trapped on a ship with absolute evil is a sight to behold. This IS NOT just alien on a boat. Dracula is at his best as this is one of his few adaptations where we see him as he is without the trappings of society; an absolute monster who strikes that balance of savagery and genuine cruelty. Between the claustrophobic setting and the inevitability of the story, The Last Voyage of the Demeter is a thrill to watch as we root for people with no chance who still punch upward to make a devil bleed. Fingers crossed for a sequel and the start of the Dreamworks Dark Universe.
