Big fan here( Since before the first album). With lyricism being Alec's biggest strength (in the previous albums), the lyrics were all surface level, and sometimes pointless. It felt like many lines were written just to fill up space, so the song can go back to its 'catchy' chorus. In terms of the music purely, it sounds very over produced and distant from Alec's previous work. It doesn't sound as honest. It is unbelievable that the artist who made 'if I killed someone for you' is now releasing a song like 'pick me'. Lastly, the marketing for 'I Sent my therapist to therapy' was embarrassing.
