I'm glad took the time to watch this show. Think Gilmore Girls, meets Desperate Housewives with a modern teen melodrama twinge. The characters are well developed, but annoyingly tic every trait/dilemma box. The characters choices are maddening at times, but are not always obvious. The various subplots examine the effects of generational poverty and almost every suffers some form of trauma. Overall, the main plot and it's focus, while a bit on the nose, are played perfectly. Georgia gives me what I call Tony Soprano vibes. She's a terrible person, and a bad gal, but at the end of the day you still like her.
