not to sound pretentious, but the people giving this one star because they didn't care to understand it are kind of missing the point of the movie. it's supposed to make you think about how humanity is destroying mother earth, you're not supposed to just watch the movie and immediately get it. and as for the reviews saying it's overly chaotic, it's a horror movie... what did you expect? that being said, the acting was amazing and mother! has a meaningful message if you think about what you just watched. scary but also depressingly real. recommended.
