The Word on Fire Bible is a masterpiece. Presently I am reading the Gospels. Of course, I have read the Gospels in the past, but this version, Bishop Barren’s version, includes his insights along with the thoughts of many Catholic scholars. These explanations encourage thought and an appreciation for the insights provided. Plus, the explanation of art also provides further knowledge of gifts passed down to us through the talent of so many. Leather bound and gorgeous. Plus, the peace it brings is needed in these troubled times.
