Having read the books I was super excited to watch this movie and also went in with an open mind. I hate saying this,but the movie was a huge disappointment. Not only did they completely change the plot of the story,but they ridiculed the characters. For example the main character (Tessa) came off as a clingy immature girl who was upset at Hardin for not wanting to date her what seemed like the 3rd day ? Movies will never be as long as the books,but they definitely should have included a story line. There was very little dialogue making it hard to follow and understand what the characters were going through. I could See maybe 13 year olds liking the movie,but anyone older will be confused and bored halfway through. At the end of the movie everyone in the movie theatre said “what?” And I felt relieved that I wasn’t the only one disappointed. I will still recommend the books because I loved them, but the movie ? Don’t waste your time. If you’ve seen the trailer that’s basically it. Trailer is better than movie.
