This is what happens when you don't have a plan going into a trilogy. You end up with a film that tries to fix TLJ while still trying to move the plot forward and try and resolve everything. It is a mess.The legacy characters that were the draw for the previous films are gone and shoehorning in Palpatine to represent a legitimate threat is not only cheap but it destroys what other character did in the previous films. This was done because of Disney being unable to create interesting characters of their own and they have to rely on legacy characters to carry their movies. Disney Sequel Trilogy is the worst thing that could ever have happened to Star Wars and might have just killed it. Right now the Mandalorian and Clone Wars are the only things keeping this franchise alive .I am sorry George Lucas we should have treated you better.
