The movie was on par with some other classical fly fishing movies delivering metaphors about the common thread fly fishing mirrors life . Each of the main characters experience a traumatic event in their lives which they try to bury but realize in order to move up stream they need to face their demons.
Some of the shots of trout rising to take dry flies is well done. And the background scenery is spectacular.
Good movie overall.

Excellent acting. Great scenery as it was filmed in NZ. Slow at times but after a specific scene the storyline is exposed.
