Being from a small town, there's so many relatable moments. The middle seasons cover some dark topics but realistic. The ending, well I'm not a crier but I balled my eyes out. Great show and will watch it again!

Some bad reviews make no sense. I'm guessing they didn't watch it. The review that says 5 years goes by fast. Untrue. The entire movie is told at different plot points within 5 years. Making it captivating because you're unsure of what happens in each timeline to get her to the river. Another says she's an insensitive mom. Of course she is! That's the complex part of her character and ultimately why she survives and the children. She's an amazing actress and ultimately played many versions of the same character within the movie! My favorite scene is when she's in bed with Tom and her hair in so long and draped behind her. It shows how much time has gone by and the body language shows they have fallen in love. It's beautiful! I like that they never showed the monster but I wish I understood more why some people didn't die when they saw it but rather praised it. Are those evil humans or did the monster choose for them to live? Overall it's a must watch and will keep you engaged. I would give it a 8/10 and say I'll watch it again!
