The story lingers around the life of Naomi Hannah, a perfect-seeming lady, except that she's blind. When a murder takes place in their lonesome town, an eeriness follows the streets after dark. She encounters the killer with his second victim in an alley, but was spared, only to be tortured thereafter. Unknown of what miseries lay ahead that would scar her life forever, Naomi must survive.
What adds to the appeal of the story is the surmised link between these murders with an unsolved case buried twenty years ago. Are these murders connected, or something is misleading about the case? Everyone has secrets to keep, but whose secret is so dark that it leads to these ruthless murders?

The writing style didn't seem distinct in the beginning but as I paced along, I noticed similarities in the text, which clearly depict the consistency of the writer. The realism of the writing is definitely worth the appreciation. I felt each wound on Naomi's skin as my own. I felt the words thrashing in my heart as if I were going to be the next victim.

The first thing I noticed with the cover of this book was its indistinguishable similarities with the book THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN by Paula Hawkins.
At first, I thought this book would disappoint me because I had great expectations with it, and expectations hurt. I feel the spark in my words as I say that this book proved me wrong. I had to fight with myself to stop reading after hours of continuous reading, but I picked it up instantly the moment I put it down. By the time I almost reached the end of the book, and I thought only the epilogue was left, I decided to rate it 4 stars. But the last few pages definitely brought me the unexpected and hence covered the one remaining star that it deserves.
When I say this book is surely a thing for mystery lovers, I'm not even exaggerating a bit. The quality of it doesn't only lie in the plot twist, but the consistency in the whole book which is very rare to find. Not a single page you'll feel like the story is being dragged or you're bored.
I had to give myself a moment to take in what the book had to offer me. I found this book different and one of the best so far because I kept up with my hopes. This book was purely thrilling and there's no way I wouldn't recommend it to others.
So the answer to the big question, SHOULD YOU READ THIS BOOK?
I would say, πΏπππππππππ πππ.
