I thought that this film was great. It’s unfortunate that you cannot stream anywhere. I love how it shows the relationship within the characters & how they change as do their habits. At first, you can see many things that are not okay. But the boys keep it so light you almost think for a second that they are just boys being boys. Things progressively get more intense but in a very timely manner that doesn’t push stereotypes that drug addictions are simple to understand. Like “try it once and your life is over” as I grew up with lol. Or just say no. I really liked how there friendship was there greatest joy and also there greatest demise. It also had a very powerful message that is conveyed when one of the group no longer follows them in there self destructive path. I feel that losing close friends or family can be very hard to do at times but it is necessary. I cry every time when I watch the scene with Leo & his mother. Leo’s acting was so great in this film. Just as Mark’s he doesn’t get much recognition since he was sort of the “bad guy”. You can see in one scene with Mark and his brother why he was violent. During the movie you can see glimpses of what brought these group of guys together in awesome broship and also destruction. They all seem to be hurting in different ways while sharing the same dream. Yet all connect even if they are very different from each other. I think that this movie can be very encouraging for people struggling with drug addiction. Even after such shocking disturbing and depressing scenes there is also lots of hope in this film for people that struggle with drug addiction.
