this movie is the Telugu version of 'Bommarillu'. The Telugu movie was so much better. All this movie does is mock and attack all Hindu marriage traditions. there is nothing that this movie shows anything different or special. Bindi tilak-wearing people are old-fashioned and evil but bare-faced, alcoholic, shayarana people are cultured and great.

what a stupid story. same old story and there is no new deption that makes it any different. A Muslim guy is innocent but a tilak-wearing police commissioner and a tilak-wearing servant are corrupt. Muslims can be shown as innocent and good but why do they have to show the tilak wearing people specifically corrupt? Is the Bollywood corrupting telugu cinema as well or is thee a trend afoot?

Virupaksha a supernatural thriller movie based on some tantrik vidya from the Adharvana Veda. From the beginning it was obvious that some human is the reason for all the deaths. I thought it is going to be scary but it is not scary at all. At times I have reduced sound in anticipation of something scary will happen but it was a disappointment. There are plenty of similar thrillers in the past, definitely water than this with unexplained deaths, tantra, revenge etc. An unfortunate killing of someone, a love angle, unexpected deaths after a lo time after the killings, revenge plot by someone related to the dead, hero saves the village, usually with the help of the heroine but in this movie heroine is the protagonist who is related to dead. This is the only difference between this movie and similar precious thrillers. hero heroine acting was average. Other supporting actors all experiences so their acting was good. Story is not new. Story depiction nothing eccentric or thrilling. Overall just an average movie.

I loved the movie. Watched in Telugu n the dubbing was excellent. Rishabh Shetty, my god fantastic acting. The storytelling was extraordinary. Everything was perfect in the acting, the village atmosphere, and the depiction of the behaviour of villagers in the olden days. The direction was superb. The only thing I could think of is the male lead pinching the female lead on the waist. She seemed annoyed when Shiva pinches her but in just the next couple of scenes, she seems to be in love with him already. So it was not clear whether they already have a connection before Leela left the village for the guard training and that's why he took the liberty to pinch. A lot of people are talking about the double-meaning dialogues, but it is a very common scene in the villages in the olden days when villages were small and everyone knows everyone and also has close relationships. Whether those double meaning are needed in the movie can be debated but I think the director wanted to show a complete folk lifestyle along with the legend. It has also shown that men n women have relationships without marriage and outside of marriage is natural. Not sure maybe whether in tribals it is accepted. They haven't anyone getting married though so we do not know the modern/Hindu style marriage rituals are prevalent in those tribals. These things are left vague as they are not the focus of the movie. The last scene was amazing n evoked so many emotions when after Shiva kills the landlord and makes the villagers and the forrest officer together to let them know that this is the beginning of a new relationship between the villagers n the government. The happiness he shows was so intense n I cried a little. His acting as Panjurli in the last scene was enough to make it worth watching the movie. I recommend everyone to watch it
