It’s the first film I’ve seen on this element of the Vietnam war. I know a refugee from that war so it has affected me. I found it intriguing. An earlier commenter said the characters didn’t understand the war yet admits that the Vietnam war was a mistake. Thousands of young men were being killed in that war. These guys were trying to correct that mistake and seem to have got increasingly desperate enough to rob a bank. We see two opinions on that. Is it worth the risk to save American lives in Vietnam? Redfords character said no and Sarondons character said yes.
If we are pro-life we can put ourselves in that delema in that time,?in that America.
