Gritty! Not your average superhero movie (I mean it as a compliment). It definitely brings the Detective Comic part out of DC. I like the fact that I can somehow label this movie as a thriller too (first scene). Had this movie been made a hundred years later, an R rating wouldn't seem out of the equation, but in our day and age, producers still need the kid/teenage viewers to watch as well. I booked a double seat two weeks prior, arrived 30 minutes early at the movie theater, and never left my place for the whole three hours. It was a big deal for me because I'm not very fond of going to the movies, but I couldn't risk anybody spoiling it.
