It’s by no means perfect but I’ve genuinely had more fun with this version of the game than others in recent history. On my first playthrough it struck me how much better it felt to play. There’s definitely still some bugs and glitches like always like players not touching eachother when they hit stick from time to time but for the most part I’ve really enjoyed this compared to prior games. I assume most of the one stars are people who just hate the brand anymore but as someone who’s mainly played the new games since 16 I really enjoy this and think it’s a step in the right direction for them to build on in future iterations.
