As someone who read the books when I was in middle school this is honestly one of my favorite book adaptations. I believe the actors captured the essence of each character amazingly so far (we're only halfway into the first season) especially Walker Scobell. One of the things that I hated about the movies was how they seemingly dumbed down Annabeth and didn’t really show her how I would have liked however, in the series Annabeth is exactly how I would have imagined (regardless of the change in appearance). I also love the fact that they hired actually 12-14 year olds to play the characters. I think having the young actors really just makes you sit back and think how insane it is that these children/ characters are going through so much at such a young age which we weren’t able to really conceptualize from the movies because the characters looked as if they were all 21+. Im really excited to see how they will unfold the rest of the series and hopefully we’ll get more seasons ☺️
