Denzel Washington was the consumate professional on set. He knows the art and worked with the script. Next, the extras were very good. Soldiers that looked like bored soldiers. They were convincing. The movie was otherwise not to my taste. I like a good story that draws you in, engaging actors and a degree of unpredictability. If you like animated sharks that look less convincing than the fibreglass Jaws at Universal Studios, a story that follows a predictable formula to the point that a 14 year old could have written it, well this is for you. It is probably more suited to the young teen age group. Make no mistake, it is big, loud and sort of spectacularish.

Don't watch this until you read all of the reviews. Yes all of them. This isn't for me. Tori does all right in the acting. It reminded me of a student movie.

Better than your average bear. Don't tell Russ I only scored it a 4. Lots of actors who know their craft, well produced, and top lead actor character renditions. Good sound and music choices that just fit perfectly. The second line acting and direction was excellent. Pulling off the party scene without it looking amateurish was surprising and superb. Definitely a very large talent pool there.

4:3 ratio screen. Watched 3 minutes expecting it to change, but it doesn't. It was too big a distraction so I moved on.

Believable acting that is totally convincing. Story that has depth. Superb cinematography and effects. Why this was not a box office release beggars belief. I suppose they didn't have a multi million dollar publicity budget. Watch it, because this is exceptional in many ways.

After 50 minutes of trying to find an objective. I quit. Not for me. Anyone wanting this DVD. It will be at our local charity shop this week. Excellent music though.
