The loving attention to detail in TROP is mind-boggling, detractors of the show must have a level of expectation that I simply don’t understand. The script is tight and bounces along interweaving brevity with humour always finding clever ways to enlighten viewers as to the backstory of places and characters delving into the richness of LOTR lore. The possibilities of exploring the roles of the Istari and Maiar in Middle-Earth is stupendous. If we want to continue to be spoilt with entertainment of such high quality we really need some checksums to be run on the negative reviews that often have a casual entitlement of voice to them…TROP and it’s cast should be reassured that many Tolkien fans are desperate to devour as much of this beautifully tailored visual feast as is created. It’s enough to reignite a child’s idealism! Many thanks to the tireless artists and crew of this immense production.
