Im seeing 5 star reviews and am dumbfounded. This movie is so dull and so corny with very little actual suspense. Awful story telling / character development compared to 1 and 2. it felt like its own shitty and unnecessary remake.

Without a doubt the best horror film I’ve seen all year. The cinematography and sound design was incredible. The first hour was genuinely terrifying and I loved where the story went. F*cking brilliant film!

I like Josh Hartnett and will always have a soft spot for Shyamalan so I was intrigued. This movie is OK in the sense that it isn’t a complete colossal train wreck like M Night’s last few films, but it’s certainly not good. I basically just wanted to see if / how he gets away from the police. There are many corny scenes with laughable writing and extremely predictable moments. Don’t even get me started on that FBI psychologist lady 😂 are you kidding me… I never really felt that invested or on edge by anything in the movie. It’s around exactly what I expected, maybe a bit worse. People giving this five stars should maybe get their brains scanned ❤️

I'll watch any movie with Michael Fassbender in it. He is an amazing actor and when I saw this movie pop up and the reviews, I was intrigued. I really wanted to like this film, it seemed promising in the first half. It is very depressing and graphic, which is fine, but I didn't think the second half of the movie went anywhere. A lot of it seemed like build up to something that never came and just filled with intense violence for shock value with not much story depth. I'm not going to say it's bad, but I would not go in expecting a well made movie.
