Defense is horribly slow and everything is animation triggered. Everyone plays off ball with the bigs and spams steal. The game was fun for a few weeks. Then everyone just cheeses once they figure out how to rather than try and play to have fun. They play to win, which isn't hard at all. It's just not any fun playing 4 out with a fast pg and getting dunks or wide open assists. Then playing smother defense ai while you sit around the basket waiting on a rebound or block. I think the community of 2k is just as big a problem as the game itself. Everyone cheeses or quits if you get an early lead. I understand wanting to 'be good' but what's the point if it isn't fun and the ai does the heavy lifting?

I haven't watched wrestling in about 15 years, but this game is incredibly fun. The controls are responsive and simple but the action of matches is very well paced. It's rare to find a game that is this fun and not stressful. I play on hard difficulty and still win about 80% of my matches. That being said, you never know when your opponent will dodge your attack or land a finisher to change the outcome. I am glad that they put Brest Hart and the Outsiders in the game. I used to watch wrestling when they were on top and playing as those characters make the game that much more enjoyable.
